Before you read this remember this: YOU CAN'T EXPECT TO BE PRODUCTIVE OVERNIGHT. YOU PROBABLY SPENT YEARS CULTIVATING YOUR WORK HABITS – BOTH GOOD AND BAD, CONSCIOUSLY OR SUBCONSCIOUSLY, SMALL ADJUSTMENTS CAN LEAD TO MORE LASTING CHANGES, BUT THOSE MAY TAKE TIME AND DISCIPLINE. I AM NOT WRITING THIS FROM AN EXPERT POINT OF VIEW, THESE ARE MY PERSONAL SUGGESTIONS THAT WORKS BEST FOR ME..

It’s tempting to look at highly productive people as machines (or wizards). But by studying how they work efficiently and overcome the challenges we all experience, it’s possible to boost your own productivity as well.
How do the most efficient people overcome challenges like:
  • Procrastinating on tasks—both small, nagging ones and large, challenging ones
  • Boring work that needs just to get done
  • Responding to email and other messages while working
  • Staying motivated and energized throughout the entire work day
  • Focusing and finishing the most important projects on their plates
1. Be more organized
—By being organized, you will save time looking for things and will have more time to work on important tasks. As organization can improve the flow of communication between you and your team, you can also make your team more productive. After all, better communication leads to better results.

2. Make small to-do list
By making small to do list you will not feel overwhelmed and obviously more productive.

3. Take breaks

Breaks increase productivity and creativity.
Working for long stretches without breaks leads to stress and exhaustion.Taking breaks refreshes the mind, replenishes your mental resources, and helps you become more creative. “Aha moments” came more often to those who took breaks, according to research. It helps in increasin our focus and being more productive.

4. Stop doing multitasking
Multitasking makes you less productive.
According to Dr. ... We think because we're good at switching from one task to another that that makes us good at multitasking. But having a great ability to lose focus isn't admirable. Studies have found that multitasking  reduces your productivity by 40%.

Tips to be more productive

5. Give rewards
Rewards tend to create a feeling of pride and achievement among students thus motivating them to be more productive.

6. Start with hard subject

start with hard subject when you are feeling the most motivated . It will help you to be more productive for the whole day. It will help you to stay motivated and productive.

7. Make a reasonable to do list
Don’t overwhelm yourself. To-do lists often fail because we make them way too complex or the tasks are unequal. Some tasks will take a long time, others won’t take any time at all. This creates an unbalance in the way we distribute our time. What happens then is that our to-do list then becomes a procrastination tool. Yes, that’s right. Because then we do the easy stuff, and then become really distracted on the hard stuff.
Don’t lie, you’ve done that before.

8. Set small goals for the tasks
With every new project or assignment, the scope may seem too large. But once you start breaking it down and realizing what can be accomplished, you’ll notice how each part builds upon the other.
One of the easiest and most practical things you can do is to break down your marketing project or deliverable into smaller goals. What are the pieces and assets needed? Who do you need to talk to first? Break up these pieces before even setting timelines, and then estimate how long they’ll take you to accomplish. Understanding the scope of what’s being asked, putting the steps in place and then estimating the time needed will help you get a grasp of what’s being asked. Sometimes what seems like a big project won’t take much time at all, or vice versa.

9. Find your golden hour
—Some of us are morning people, some of us are night owls.Personally, I find high energy levels in the morning around 4:30am to 6:30am. Often, I’ll purposely take some of that time away or schedule more less-strategic tasks during hours when I’m not as enaged. It’s suggested that we should find at least 2 hours a day to dive into the harder strategic work, and leave the other hours for meetings or less urgent tasks.
You’ll also identify patterns and when you could engage in “deep work” or the idea of focused work for longer periods of time. This is the concept from Georgetown professor Cal Newport.  Some work (like answering emails) is shallow, while others (like coming up with new campaign concepts or intense photo editing) may need more focused time or “deep work.”

10. Find time to walk or exercise
— I try to find time to walk at least once a day. That could be by doing exercise in the morning , or by walking down the street, or in the park, and it’s more refreshing than anything on social media.
This isn’t about staying in shape or losing weight, not that those are bad things. But exercise can help you be more productive because it increases your alertness. Because it increases your blood flow and cardiovascular health, you’ll be less anxious, more focused and more capable of dealing with stress.

11. Get sunlight
— According to recent productivity studies, you’ll boost your productivity and alertness with more natural light. Why do you think offices with windows are in such high demand? It also affects the timing of the circadian clock which then impacts your wakefulness and fatigue.

12. Phone free morning
In the Internet age, we are addicted to and dependent on so many apps and websites for our day-to-day use, our phones keep buzzing from endless notifications. This really acts as a great distraction and poses as an even great enemy to productivity. At the same time, the Internet has given alternate ways to cut down on distractions that come with different apps and websites. These alternate ways include online tools that help you concentrate on your work. A simple Google search will provide you with ample tools specialized in blocking distracting sites, isolating yourself from social networks, and even tracking how much time you waste on unnecessary applications and websites.

13. Stay away from energy vampires

— Say goodbye to the energy vampires in your life (the negative souls who steal your enthusiasm). Negativity is the biggest enemy of productivity therefore it is better for us to stay away from them.

14. Win the battle of bed

— Get up at 5 am. Win the battle of the bed. Put mind over mattress. This habit alone will strengthen your willpower so it serves you more dutifully in the key areas of your life.

15. It's better to say 'no'
— Don’t say yes to every request. Most of us have a deep need to be liked. That translates into us saying yes to everything – which is the end of your elite productivity. This very famous quote also say this:-
'YOU HAVE TO SAY 'NO' TO MANY GOOD THINGS
IN ORDER TO
SAY 'YES' TO MANY GREAT THINGS.

16. Stay Hydrated
—Drink more water. When you’re dehydrated, you’ll have far less energy. And get less done. By staying hydrated you will not only feel productive but also you can easily defeat laziness.

17. Make a distraction list
—Whenever you start any work you always come across with many distractions like - I have to call neha or I have to return the book etc which decreases your focus level. To stay focused and productive you have to keep these distraction in a safer place than your brain means in a paper. All I want to say is that when you starting your work make a distraction list and write all the distractions that come in your mind while doing work.

18. Eat healthy food
Eat healthy foods throughout the day to avoid energy crashes and keep your brain properly fuelled

The food we eat is extremely important in boosting our brainpower and impacting how productive we are at work.
Imagine you eat a Snickers bar versus a fruit and nut bar – which do you think is going to give you the energy necessary to finish strong through the afternoon? Junk food not only affects your weight. It also causes decreased productivity and energy crashes.
Keep healthy snacks at your study table  to stay fuelled for a productive day..

19. look at cute animals or their pictures
This is kinda crazy and you may not believe it, but sharing and looking at pictures of cute animal pictures actually increases attention spans. Don’t believe me? This is hardcore science. If you have a problem with this, then you have a problem with science itself (j/k). But for real–a Japanese study measured performance after looking at cute animals. Yes, they actually did this.
Here’s a quote from the study: “Results show that participants performed tasks requiring focused attention more carefully after viewing cute images.”
20
. Just say no to meetings.

Meetings are one of the biggest time-sucks around, yet somehow we continue to unquestioningly book them, attend them and, inevitably, complain about them. According to Atlassian, the average office worker spends over 31 hours each month in unproductive meetings. Before booking your next meeting, ask yourself whether you can accomplish the same goals or tasks via email, phone, or Web-based meeting (which may be slightly more productive)
